Juliet Bumbled. Ben swiped. Juliet grumbled. Ben griped. The year was 2019 and in an online dating sea of infinite possibilities, there still didn’t seem to be quite enough to fish for either of them to find one tasty enough to keep.

As the months turned to years, it felt to both like maybe The Apps weren’t actually designed for finding love at all! Maybe, just maybe, they were all just digital platforms cleverly designed to gamify emotional attachments, addicting users with a primary goal of maintaining attention and engagement long enough to mine personal data that could then be sold on to other corporate interests! But no. As it turns out, they are benevolent and good after all. In September 2019, Ben and Juliet found each other on Hinge, and something felt different about this match.

Their first date was spent walking around the Chestnut Hill reservoir, where Juliet impressed Ben with her humor and compassion, and Ben impressed Juliet by keeping up with her walking pace. That was a one-time effort unfortunately, and his ability to keep up on walks has since flagged significantly…

One date turned into two, then three. Despite an early bout of food poisoning that Ben is convinced was given to him by one of Juliet’s ex-lovers at Burro Bar in Brookline, and despite Juliet’s concern that Ben catfished her by not alerting her in advance that he had moved from easily accessible Brighton to practically foreign Cambridge just before meeting, we were both committed to the relationship.

Many adventures have ensued, with living situations constantly in flux, a new adorably anxious dog added to the mix, and a lifetime of laughs packed into our first five (plus) years. And after all that, we can’t wait to celebrate the official, legally sanctioned, insurance eligibility-conveying continuation of those adventures with you in August!

    Friday, August 1st, 2025

    Ogontz Post Office
14 Ogontz Road, Lyman, NH 03585

Ogontz is home to over 60 cabins and historic structures: we're excited to host and spend the weekend with our closest friends and family!

There are a few different cabin styles available. For descriptions and payment information, please see below.

    CABINS

    ADIRONDACK CABINS

These rustic cabins are open air with screens around the entire cabin and privacy drapes, allowing you to close off the interior of the cabin. Each adirondack cabin comes with two queen beds. Shared bathrooms are onsite.

    UPGRADED CABINS

There are a number of private cabins at Ogontz. Each has a different configuration of bedrooms (1-5 bedrooms per cabin), and one or more private baths. Many contain common areas, usable wood burning stoves, and decks with seating.

Once we have a better idea of attendance, we will be assigning lodging to best accommodate our wonderful friends and family throughout the property. Payment for housing, regardless of cabin type, will be coordinated by us, so stay tuned for more details to come.

Please let us know ahead of time if any particular accommodation/amenity is necessary and we will be sure to factor that into our planning.

    REGISTRY

We appreciate you coming from far and wide to be with us this coming summer. Your attendance is as good a gift as any. However, in the event you'd like to contribute something in the celebratory spirit, we have set up the following options. Any of these are appreciated, but certainly none are required.

    1. A registry with some of the new items we're looking for. If there isn't something that tickles your fancy...

    OUR REGISTRY

    2. A "honeyfund" to help us buy household items we'd like to thrift or find secondhand, contribute to our honeymoon, and/or (pending contribution amount) get your name on a commemorative wing of the new home we are searching for.

    HONEY FUND

    3. A donation to "Be Loved Asheville" or "Rosie's Place"

    DONATE TO ROSIE'S PLACE

Rosie's Place was founded in 1974 as the first women-only shelter in the United States. What began as a safe place for poor and homeless women to get a bed and a meal in Boston has grown into a community center providing wide-ranging support and education services to 12,000 women a year.

    DONATE TO BELOVED ASHEVILLE

BeLoved Asheville is dedicating every resource to those most affected by the Hurricane Helene disaster. Our immediate focus has been on critical necessities like food, water, and healthcare for survival and stability. As winter looms, we are securing warm and safe housing for the displaced. Looking further ahead, recovery from the vast destruction will be a large-scale investment over several years. We believe that we can unite to rebuild a community that embodies home, health, equity, and opportunity for all.
